“This is the most ambitious and exciting project ever undertaken in the Society’s 100-year existence … we are delighted to be working with a contractor with Acella’s credentials and experience and we know the Museum will be a real attraction for South Shore residents.”

Restoration, Rehabilitation and Adaptive Reuse

Protecting the historic setting and context of a property, including the degree of open space and building density, must always be considered when planning new construction on an historic site.

Acella has worked on numerous historic structures that required creative approaches to restoring the architectural and structural integrity of the building. Our clients include many local South Shore churches and not-for-profit organizations. Featured above is our work for Provincetown Art Association and Museum, Provincetown, MA and Wellfleet Preservation Hall, Wellfleet, MA.

“I appreciate the dedication and professional manner in which Acella has guided this project.”

Burt Wolfman, Chariman of the Building Project and Capital Campaign
Provincetown Art Association and Museum

“As anyone in construction knows, the punchlist is the real test of a superintendent’s expertise, and Acella passed it with flying colors. This, despite the fact that the project was terrifically complicated technically, involving both restoration and new work, with a variety of trades employed- requiring broad knowledge from the project team.”

Maria Rice, President
Wellfleet Preservation Hall

“The workmanship of the subcontractors, the involvement and monitoring by the contractors was most assuring and respected. I am most proud and grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with the Acella Construction Corporation in this project and wholeheartedly recommend them.”
